Before long the customs guard was engrossed in an article Feldmar had published in the spring 2001 issue of the journal Janus Head. The article concerned an acid trip Feldmar had taken in London, Ontario, and another in London, England, almost forty years ago.....


Feldmar disbelievingly listened as he learned that he was being barred from ever entering the United States again. The officer told him he could apply to the Department of Homeland Security for a waiver, if he wished, and gave him a package, with the forms..."

i know i feel so much safer knowing this man can never come back into this country to see his children. of course they probably will never be able to see him in canada because he`s obvious a terrorist and they to would be banned from returning or arrested for conspiring with a terrorist

2. Interesting, since there were many Americans who have also written about just this topic

LSD was actually considered a promising treatment for a range of psychological maladies during the post war years, into the fifties. In fact several psychologists thought that it was a miracle cure for diseases ranging from alcoholism to schizophrenia. Lots of serious work was done, with lots of serious papers published in lots of peer reviewed journals. In addition many prominent people during the fifties dropped acid as a way of exploring their psyche. Actors, publishers, politicians and many, many others.

Then the CIA got ahold of it, warped it, and started using it for their own nefarious ends. It slowly but surely was demonized in the press and the public, especially as the '60s generation got ahold of it, and started using it recreationally. After it was put on the list of controlled substances, all sort of scientific inquiry was quashed for decades. This was just starting to lift before 911, with a couple of brave US researchers starting to take up a scientific study on the drug. But post 911 this apparently all got swept away, and now it is a forbidden topic.

How very sad.

by Martin A. Lee and Bruce Shlain. I don't know if it is out of print or not, but you should be able to purchase it on line somewhere.
