Harry Reid: Keeping it real
Edited on Fri Apr-20-07 08:20 AM by IsItJustMe
To Harry Reid's his credit, he is keeping it real. Harry says the war in Iraq is lost. Harry said this with considerable political risk for himself. I must say he has big ones. I believe in giving credit when credit is due.

Harry is correct. The Iraq war was lost the day we went in there. The reason for this is that our glorious leader ignored a fundamental fact. Iraq is not the US. Iraq was put together after WWII on a drawing board. The Iraqis will never have a national identity. They are tribal in nature, allegiances owed to their various clans. Chimp’s daddy understood this, and that is the reason he left Saddam in power after the first Gulf war.

Hats off to you Harry Reid. I know the Republicans, the media, and the president will say that you are a defeatist and that you are not supporting the troops. However, the fact of the matter is, before we can move on from this horrible disaster, we must speak the truth. From there, we must accept that truth, and then and only then can we move forward into a better tomorrow.
