I just got this email from the College Republicans
First i am upset that the university sold them my name.
Second-----I certainly do not want to be on their mailing list (and I certainly do not trust them to use it only once).
I do not know this film.
I see Kyra Phillips is lauding it.
Any thoughts??

Subject: Who is our Enemy in the War on Terror?
Date: Wed, 18 Apr 2007 23:26:34 -0500
From: xxxxxx@gmail.com>

Do you know who we are fighting in the War on Terror? Many Americans do not.

Come find out at a showing of the movie, "Obsession: Radical Islam's War Against the West."

Place: B130 Van Vleck
Time: 7:00 - 8:00 pm
Date: Thursday, April 19

This documentary film is a look inside one of the deadliest and most committed enemies the world has ever seen. It shows how the Islamic extremists have perverted the peaceful religion of Islam and exposes the radical fringe that they represent.

This film has won numerous awards as one of the most important documentaries of our time and has been praised by many critics.

"Heart wrenching...I encourage everybody to see this film...you definitely get an incredible education by watching this film...the movie left many of us speechless...we appreciate what you've done. "

Kyra Phillips
Anchor, CNN Newsroom

" Leaves you speechless. is the single most powerful and terrifying public exposition of the fact that a global Islamic jihad is now being waged from Bali to Istanbul, from Chechnya to Madrid, from Morocco to Manhattan, from Thailand to Bloomsbury - and that the world that is under attack is deeply in denial about what it is facing. "

Melanie Phillips
Author and Journalist, the Daily Mail

It is extremely important that every American view this documentary, to see who we are really fighting in the War on Terrorism.

Hosted by: Uxxxxxxx College Republicans

**The email list being used was purchased from the University of xxxxxxx will only be used once.

1. Let's not shy away from debating the issues
College Dems and liberals should show up to the screening, watch the movie, and take part in any discussion that follows.

Point out that Bu$h-Cheney failed to focus on defeating Al Quaida and Bin Laden, who as far as we know are still "at large" in the Afghanistan-Pakistan border area.

Point out that Iraq is a distraction. Saddam Hussein had no WMD, no links to Al Quaida. Not one of the 9-11 bombers was an Iraqi.

But if the University refused to let college Dems purchase the same e-mail list for a similar "educational" purpose - that would be grounds for a protest.

2. They wouldn't be able to get in
Some liberal probably invented an IQ detector that a rightie purchased with his trust fund money and installed it at the door ...

If you have a discernable IQ, the machine will sound an alarm, and you will be denied entry into the building ...

Please ... do not expect any type of critical thinking from the brainwashed ...

3. My advice to Rodeo
is to not ask to have your name removed from this list....unless you just are too worried about who else might have your address. It's good to know what the other side is up to and you can keep posting their nutty stuff here. I'm sure it is disconcerting to you that they got your e-mail address. Unfortunately, once you get on one list, those lists are "sold" or "shared" with other groups.

4. I think this is the film that Glenn Beck was hyping a few months ago
I saw about 10 minutes of it and it comfirmed that there are some people out there that we need to "deal with" of course the HOW is the key question here and so far we have a really bad track record, at least since and just before 9/11.

5. Dear College Republicans
Thank you for your concern and your dedicated to protecting the United States from this deadly and committed enemy. You clearly understand why we are fighting the War On Terrorism and are yourself committed to victory over the forces of evil.

To that end, I'm forwarding this link to Form DD, which will provide you with the opportunity to enlist in the Armed Forces of the United States and deepen your commitment to protecting our liberty. Best of luck to you, and God Speed.

7. You could tell them you're waiting for its Oscar nomination....
More info here.

When a Middle East discussion group organized a showing at New York University recently, it found that the distributors of ''Obsession'' were requiring those in attendance to register at IsraelActivism.com, and that digital pictures of the events be sent to Hasbara Fellowships, a group set up to counter anti-Israel sentiment on college campuses.

''If people have to give their names over to Hasbara Fellowships at the door, that doesn't have the effect of stimulating open dialogue,'' said Jordan J. Dunn, president of the Middle East Dialogue Group of New York University, which mixes Jews and Muslims. ''Rather, it intimidates people and stifles dissent.''
