I find it rather odd...Most politicans would not heistate to take a donation from a beer or wine company (or CEO for that company), yet, Mr. Flynt's money is not good?...

What causes more illnesses, injuries, & deaths every year - alcohol or porn?.....

Shame on your self-righteouness Ms. Clinton....

All this being said, I'm voting for her if she's the nominee, because this country absolutely cannot afford another Republican president...

Playboy needs a good airbrushing/implant decimation but I don't remember the last time some noteworthy true beauty came to my attention by way of being in hustler.

Larry Flynt is somewhat interesting and does some cool things occasionally when it comes to sticking it to right-wingers but he seriously shouldn't be quite as glorified or put on the same kind of pedistal as truer revolutionaries like Hefner or way more respectable than either of them - Howard Stern.

Playboy shows naked women. Hustler shows violence against naked women. I've seen both magazines. Please people, there is a difference between just naked and naked and having violence perpetrated against you.

I've read interviews with Hef and he is a progressive and Flynt is degenerate.

I like Hugh Hefner. He is so upfront about just thinking sex is the best thing EVER...much better than sliced bread... ...but his stuff is not violent toward women. The BEST interview I ever read with Joan Baez was in a Playboy. Oddly.

Flynt was embroiled in many legal battles regarding the regulation of pornography and free speech within the United States, especially attacking the Miller v. California (1973) obscenity exception to the First Amendment. He was first prosecuted on obscenity and organized crime charges in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1976 at the behest of Charles H. Keating Jr., who headed a local anti-pornography committee. He was sentenced to 7 to 25 years and served six days; the sentence was overturned on a technicality. One argument resulting from this case went up to the U.S. Supreme Court in 1981.


In April 1998 he was charged in a sting operation with a number of obscenity related charges concerning the sale of sex videos to a youth in a Cincinnati adult store owned by Flynt.
