I personally find it distasteful at the moment to link this horrendous event to Iraq or Bush. Can we not just mourn with those who mourn and grieve in some more productive way?

What, precisely, are you trying to produce? How long would you have us sport this logo? What mourning period would you deem appropriate? Would people who switched back too soon offend you?

2. I have friends witrh children at Tech

It may or may not be productive, but Partisan posturing certainly is not productive. I was up last night with one family until we had hard from the two kids who are there.

3. I think it's as respectful as a flag at half staff

And there will be an official mourning period during which flags will be flown that way.

I respectfully disagree with your assessment that this would be pointless. But you have a right to that opinion.
