Alrighty, It's time to get down to business.

Now that Imus has been fired twice in as many days, the Dems have rejected Fox sponsoring a debate, and the MoveOn straw poll has been released, the table is clear to work on some priorities.

First off, we need to get Articles of Impeachment introduced in the House of Representatives. Let's see bush ignore that.

Second, we need to cut off funding for the illegal occupation of Iraq. We can do this by convincing Pelosi not to schedule a vote on bills that fund continued occupation, and to keep scheduling bills that end the illegal occupation

Third, we citizens need to turn up the pressure on our respective House and Senate members, both Democratic and Repo, to impeach bush and end the illegal occupation.

It's obvious bush is out of control. He's ignoring the voice of the people as expressed through our elected Representative. He's a tyrant, a war criminal, and a blight on the country we love. It's time to impeach. It's time for accountability.

Last November the American people spoke loud and clear. They said, OUT OF IRAQ! and End the Corruption.
We should take the American voters at their word. We need to quit funding the illegal occupation and keep sending bush bills for him to veto, while not allowing any occupation funding bills on the floor for a vote. bush can't veto a bill he doesn't get.

This is up to us, Americans who want our constitutional democratic republic back. We need to speak with one voice at Representatives and Senator's constituent offices through out the country. We don't need to go the DC. We need to go to the next town, we need to drive a few miles or a hundred miles and go to those offices and say, ENOUGH! Impeach now, End the occupation now.

SO far, Code Pink has been doing this in a few places around the country. We need to help them, help ourselves and help our country. We don't need to get arrested, we just need to show up.

1. Those are my kinds of goals!
Shoot, I was going to suggest that MSNBC send a strong message by hiring Tom Joyner to fill Imus' morning slot, but I'll add your goals, too!:D

B-)

2. Who is your congress critter? Mine is Dennis Rehberg -R Montana. We get
one for the whole state and we are 4/5 the size in sq miles of California.

His office is about 20 miles away in Missoula.

I'm going down tomorrow for a 10 or 15 minute chat with his office staff.

On Monday, I'm visiting both of my US Senators (Baucus and Tester, both Dems) offices for the same amount of time.

When was the last time you went to your congress critters office? It's been years for me. Maybe 10 or so. I think it's time to really make my self at home. Get used to the offices and the staffs. Learn their names.

5. Max's Billings office staff are very cool...
They'll actually talk with you and know what's going on.
:thumbsup::thumbsup:
Jon Tester is still getting organized...no asparagus nasturtiums aspersions intended...
he still doesn't have an email set up on his website.
But the lady I spoke to at his office was very courteous...if a bit overwhelmed with calls.

7. That's interesting you mention that. I called the MSLA Tester office on
Monday and told the very nice woman on the phone that there was no e-mail link on the Tester Senate web site (.gov)

She said what? and logged on and said, you're right I'm sending them a message to get that fixed. I said, yeah, he needs that fixed. Glad to be of service.

She gave me her e-mail address and said she would make sure my message got to Tester.

I'm glad to see Max is getting his constituent office shit together more. It used to be really lame, I'd write, even snail mail and never get a response. I think the Joe Liebermann experience set a fire under that guy. He said, "But by the grace of god...."

Anyway, it's time we the people stopped putting all the burden on Conyers, Leighey (sp) and the other usual good guys and gals, and we stop putting all the burden on Code Pink and get off our asses and start making our dreams and desires personally known to our Reps and their staffs.

Personal contact is the most effective. Take a camera, take some pictures, send them a copy, take the camcorder, bring the kids. You know what I'm talking about.

3. If you can't visit a congresscritter's office...
...then send a snail mail paper letter. A paper letter is worth 100 e-mails. Think of it. Ten minutes, print it out, and mail it. Worth 100 e-mails. Can you do that?

4. You are 100% correct.
Snail mail get opened, it gets read, and then....it gets logged. ANd you might even get a reply.

A phone call is also effective, 10,000 phone calls is even more effective.

Get up, stand , stand up for your rights!

Be polite, and be firm.
