John Edwards to deliver keynote address at New England College

HENNIKER, N.H. --Democratic presidential hopeful John Edwards will deliver the keynote address at the 60th commencement of New England College on May 12.

Edwards, the former North Carolina senator who was Sen. John Kerry's runningmate in the 2004 presidential election, will receive an honorary doctor of laws degree.

The ceremony will be held in the College's Lee Clement Arena.

"John Edwards was the first in his family to receive a college education and understands the importance of higher education and the opportunities that it creates for students of all ages," said Michele Perkins, interim president.
