My response to repubs on this Kerry story will be...
..but wait? 6 or 7 years ago you were adamant in insisting that it WASN'T about sex or marital affairs that it was about lying under oath? Did I miss something? Did somebody lie under oath?

1. That is a good response
What's great about our modern scandal riddled culture is that few will say "John Kerry committed adultry and so can't be president." Everybody will say instead, "Well there are rumors about sexual infidelity, how will that affect his campaign? I mean we have to talk about the story, as it affects his campaign, without much reference to whether it's true or not."

2. Easy there big fella
Nobody's said anything about impeaching Kerry. Basically, someone's just trying to stir up some rumors and see if they take. So far there's no evidence that any of it is true.

Besides, this is much closer to Gennifer Flowers than Monica Lewinsky. Back then they only wanted to cast doubts on Clinton's character, not spend millions of taxpayers' dollars on a frivolous impeachment investigation.

3. Not as far as impeachment as far as why any of us should care.
..the people collectively shrugged their shoulders about this in the past but they kept on insisting it mattered. I agree it's more akin to flowers than lewinsky, but still if people want to point to this as a character issue I'll be more than happy to point out the collective shrug of the shoulders that the country showed them with Clinton's approval rating in the 70's after the impeachement.
