DEM 2004 Primaries and a Snake within - dailykos&Sterling (not DU member)
Edited on Thu Feb-12-04 03:38 PM by xultar
Sterling (not DU), the friend you should count as your enemy. Sterling is worse than the enemy within and more dangerous.

Sterling (not DU) brought out the story about Clark having illegal campaign contributions

Sterling (not DU)wrote the note about the termoil in the Clark Camp early on

Sterling (not DU) played up the whole Clark having Clinton insiders run his campaign and driving out the grass roots

Sterling(not DU) played up the firing of the first campaign manager

Sterling (not DU) wrote the open letter to the clark camp

So don't give me any news from dailykos.com Sterling (not DU) is the KKKarl rove amongst us and against us. Who needs enemies with Sterling (not DU) around.

He's worse than Drudge and all the others cuz he pretends to be a DEMOCRAT!!!

I HATE STERLING (not DU) and dailykos.com

1. How can Clark confirm a story when the woman's friend already went
to the media. This has been out for MONTHS. Drudge was just waiting for the right moment to blow the scoop.

I can't believe you guys are blaming CLARK for opening this can of worms.

2. Who is this sterling?
I remember he made a brief appearance here at DU - and made some of the claims to which you refer (he was bashing the Draft Clark/Clark campaign due to the association with a particular member of one of those efforts- but I don't recall the details just the gist of the conversation) and was then called on (again here at DU) for similar behavior pointed at the Kerry campaign. If I recall he was a vet - but I recall no more. Your post suggests that this person was doing a heck of a lot more than the one single incident that I recall (and I don't doubt you - the little incident was quite glaring when it happened)... which suggests we just caught a glimpse of a "work in progress"... so who is this person ??

3. This can't be the Sterling of "Sterling and Ewing" fame on DU who did alot
of work on the 9/11 Timeline, can it? I don't think so.

6. no very different person
just posted very briefly on DU - specifically to bitch about Clark and claiming to have inside information about the awful nature of someone who was working on Clark's campaign... he claimed to have offered to work for the campaign - but something happened all because of this other person (whose name I don't remember)...

10. I remember that. Why would he have the same name, though?
this is very strange. Who is this KOS person? I hear him quoted on DU and just went over to the blog and didn't get much info. It' doesn't look like the kind of blog that would be very reliable. Is "KOS" supposed to be somekind of Dem insider?

9. I don't know if we are speaking of the same person or not
I do know just before Clark announced and just after he posted awful things on his draftclark site and daily kos. Clark supporters lambasted the guy. HE was making claims that the clark campaign was hiring professionals and not keeping with the grassroots people (him) he wanted a high ranking job in the campaign. when that didn't workout he acted like an ASS. He then broke stories about Clark's campaign funds like a week or 2 after he announced that he was running. Then he gossiped in length about how the first campaign manager left.

he's an ass
he knows he's an ass
and he doesn't care if he's an ass

If I ever meet this guy I'm planting a right and a left hook square in his face

4. Xultar, the person you mention is a certifiable nut as far as I can tell..
I had some contact with this politico back in the Draft Clark
days. With friends like him, one does not need enemies.

5. Careful, Xultar: Sterling is a current DU member
If you meant someone other than this "Sterling," you best clear it up ASAP. Otherwise, this thread is sure to get you in trouble and even possibly banned....

11. Okay....it's the Spelling! Stirling (Newberry) as opposed to DU Sterling.
I think it would be good for Xultar to put the full name out there. It will confuse many DU'ers and isn't fair to our own "Sterling."

12. I'm locking this
If you are referring to Stirling Newberry, please use the correct name so as to avoid any confusion.
