I changed my Avatar to Kerry...
Now is the time to fight. We have our candidate.
He's a fine man. He has given more attention to energy
than any of the others.

Clark is going to endorse him.

I am now in his camp and I am already in for $1,000

Yeah, I am still mad at the press for lynching Clark and the
Democratic party for letting him be lynched. I am not a
Democrat and will not ever take that label back.

But here is one liberal independent for Kerry.

Bon Appetit.

1. Good for you Doc
I have decided to stay out of the primary battle going forward. I had my say, spent my money, and I still stand by Clark till the convention.

cheers

5. How has he given more attention to energy than other candidates?
I thought they were pretty much all saying the same things.

13. Well, it seems he works in energy reform into his speeches more...
to me, it is the most important economic, standard of
living, and security issue, not to mention the most
important to the environment.

Heres how I rank the issues

Energy reform

8. Welcome to the club!
Yes, Clark will endorse Kerry and I smell a Kerry/Clark ticket.

If I'm wrong I see Clark as the secretary of state at least.

I can't see Edwards in the ticket with Kerry... Maybe Edwards will be our next attorney general. What an upgrade that would be after Ashcroft... :-)

10. That didn't take long
but I've given to Kerry also. I plan to give to Dean and DK as well pretty soon. I'll make up my mind where to land when the time is right.

15. All of the General's supporters
and the Democratic Party should be very proud of what he has contributed to this campaign so far. I have no doubt his contributions will NOT end with his withdrawal from the race.

I support Senator Kerry, but I have no question that our party is better for General Clark having been a candidate for POTUS on our side.

Congratulations, General, for a well run campaign.

18. Edwards is the better candidate
He lost by 14 points in Tennessee when there was another Southern candidate who he only beat by four points. I'd say that's a preference for the Southerners.

There is a frenzied panic to get it all over and decide on a candidate. I think that's silly.

Regardless of whether you agree with that, do you think there's really been a straight match up between Kerry and Edwards yet to let the voters decide who's more electable?

Clark stayed in too long. Had he bowed out after winning one victory by less than a half of a percent, Edwards would have probably carried Tennessee and been within shouting distance in Virginia.

Why the damned stampede?

Edwards is a better orator, has less crap in his background that the monarchists can throw against him, isn't old patrician money, isn't a New England Liberal Intellectual, has a real platform that's appealing to rural voters, has better cachet with union and manufacturing workers, hasn't made any missteps/misspeaks on the trail so far that will haunt him, will probably excite more traditional non-voters and will get virtually every vote that Kerry would have gotten.

Edwards is an infinitely better candidate.
