Doonesbury has been on a roll this week!
Edited on Thu Feb-12-04 02:58 PM by Brotherjohn
MODS: I'm re-posting this here at your instructions b/c you locked it from the GD board (for the obtuse reference to Kerry). It really was a post about Doonesbury and Bush policies, though.

http://doonesbury.com/strip/dailydose/index.html

Monday, Trudeau (via the young CIA "intern") refers to Bush's latest rationale for war as Saddam having "bad thoughts".

Tuesday, he points out that we were NOT, in fact, all wrong about WMDs.

Yesterday, he referred to the Iraq war as a "mistake". One character calls it a "blooper invasion" and another wonders what you say after such a "mistake": "'Oops. My bad. Sorry about all the dead people.'?"

Today Trudeau brings up Kerry's Viet Nam war era quote ("How do you ask a man to be the last man to die for a mistake?").

Trudeau is being relentless!

1. Trudeau went to St. Paul's School just like Kerry
The name doonesbury was coined by Trudeau because his roommate, a member of the Pillsbury (the bread/pastry company) family was nicknamed Doones. So he came up with the concept of a cartoon, and named it Doonesbury after his (trudeau's) roommate.
