Is There Anyone Here Who Thinks...
Is there anyone here that thinks or believes that Bush and/or his administration will be brought up on charges AFTER he leaves office? You see, I'm a big supporter of impeachment. I feel that it is the only way for our country to save face in the eyes of the rest of the world. Also, it is absolutely necessary if we are to help insure that this kind of thing will not happen again in the future.

If Bush is not impeached, I would like to think that we could at least see justice after he leaves office. Does anyone see the possibility of charges brought either on him or members of his administration?

1. I Know I Won't Be Satisfied Until He And His Administration Are
held accountable. If they aren't tried then nobody should be because nobody that is currently in prison has done more damage to mankind than this administration.

2. Read THE PLOT TO SEIZE THE WHITE HOUSE about the pusch against FDR
The principals were never charged.

If Bush and Cheney were charged, the trial would likely reveal whose water they were carrying, and the public might demand some action against those people.

That will not be allowed.

3. We don't think, we're democrats.
You ask "Is There Anyone Here Who Thinks..."
No, we are democrats. We panic, we emote, we paranoia ( <- in English any noun can be verbed), but we never think.

Now seriously: Please use more sensible subject lines that describe or summarize the topic or your post. Thank you.

Signed: Confused in California.

P.S. Real Californians don't think; they are too busy sitting in hot-tubs, drinking white Zinfandel from plastic cups with ice cubes in it. People from the plains states tend to think that Californians do nasty things with members of the desired sex in their hot-tubs; the reality is that they mostly just soak to relax from the stress of living in the madhouse that is California, and from their demanding jobs in Silicon Valley startups or Hollywood boiler rooms. However, what is true: they typically smoke some filthy McNasty while soaking in the hot tub.

P.P.S. California proposition 65 requires the following warning to be attached to this post: This post is 90% humor and cynicism, and contains only one line of serious content. This post has been determined by the attorney general of California (a.k.a. moonbeam) to cause birth defects, even long after you have been born. Om.

6. I am not a big supporter of impeachment.
I am a big supporter of impeachment and conviction. You see, impeachment without conviction is like having sex without orgasm--ultimately unsatisfying. I constantly see impeachment thrown around here like it is the be-all and end-all to everything. Bill Clinton was impeached--whatever happened to him? If Bush is impeached without the serious possibility of being convicted in the Senate (Clinton never faced serious possibility of being convicted), then he and the Republicans will simply call it political payback for Clinton and that will ring true to millions of Americans.

Life is not fair and anybody who tell you different is either lying or trying to sell you something. History is full of people who deserved to be held accountable, but never were. Bush and the big cronies will not be held accountable to the extent that many here lust after so you just go on and do what you can do.

7. Bush will never be charged
neither will Cheney nor Bush nor Rumsfeld. When the Democratic President takes office they will sweep it under the rug as soon as possible, so we can "move on".

See Clinton and Iran-Contra.
