Poll question: So Why Did Senator McCain Really Go to Iraq Last Week?
Edited on Fri Apr-06-07 05:58 PM by David Zephyr
In light of the fact that John McCain has now admitted that his outrageous statement about the safety in the streets of Baghdad was not true,

In light of the fact that the entire national media ridiculed McCain's "stroll" through Baghdad with half a battalion protecting him,

In light of the fact that his trip to Iraq was a total political meltdown,

Why, oh why did John McCain really go to Baghdad?

Four possibilities:

4. If bush told him to do it, it was with malice aforethought.
McCain is deluded to think that he can suck up to bushies. They will always detest him.

5. It's close order drill for the backwash
Anyone with even a rudimentary mind sees the Republicons for they lying corporate shills that they are.
The backwash doesn't want to believe it. Many are too embarrassed to support the Shrub any further.
But they have to be kept from jumping the fence and joining the Democrats. So they're getting a little entertainment.
They can watch Goose Stepping with John McCain until they're furnished with another hero and ordered to vote for them.
As McCain will not actually run nothing he does beyond keeping the faithful in line matters.

7. It was an April Fool's Joke.
McLame was the fool and 21 Iraqis were killed for it.
