Saudi King 'mistaken' over legality of US troops in Iraq: Bolton
AFP via RawStory
http://rawstory.com/news/afp/Saudi_King_mistaken_over_legality_o_04062007.html

Former US ambassador to the United Nations John Bolton said Friday that Saudi's King Abdullah was "mistaken" when he questioned the legality of the US military presence in Iraq and should "correct" his controversial remarks on the matter.

"With all due respect to the King, it's a mistake to characterise the US presence in Iraq as illegal," Bolton said in an interview with the US-based Arabic language Al-Hurra television station.

King Abdullah, a key ally of Washington in the Middle East, described the US occupation of Iraq as "illegitimate" at a meeting of Arab leaders last week in the Saudi capital Riyadh.

"In beloved Iraq, blood is being shed among brothers in the shadow of an illegitimate foreign occupation and ugly sectarianism threatens civil war," Abdullah said.

"With all due respect", Bolton. You're a warmongering prick who is as irrelevant as you can be.

Sod off!

5. Bolton
Bolton was recently on the Daily Show. Jon said Lincoln appointed members of the opposition party, even people that hated his guts, to positions in his cabinet. Lincoln wanted to spark heated debate to get to the best solutions.

Bolton told Jon he was mistaken, and in a subsequent show Jon showed an interview with Doris Kearns Goodwin, who's an authority on Lincoln history, and asked her if Bolton was right. She stated as clearly as she could to Jon that Bolton WAS COMPLETELY MISTAKEN!

Facts and Bolton don't see eye to eye.

14. I wonder that every time I see him somewhere
The man was a failure in his job. Couldn't get confirmed by the Senate. And still he's treated like he's a diplomatic god.

I don't get it at all.

4. It's Bolton's M.O.: accusing the opponent of having the facts wrong
Edited on Fri Apr-06-07 12:47 PM by JaneQPublic
He did the same thing on "The Daily Show," disputing the historical accuracy of some point Jon Stewart had made about Lincoln. Then on the following show, Stewart had on Lincoln historian Doris Kearns Goodwin who said in fact Stewart was right and Bolton had his facts wrong.

a real horse. Instead, he has name recognition. Everyone wants to know what the traitor is saying now.

Things are going bad between the Bush son (or the Bush family) and Saudi Arabia.

And at some point we will be home bound and out of work unless we move into the building where our job is located - or in a tent on their grounds.

12. I don't remember the Iraqi government "inviting U.S troops" in 2003
Nor do I know of a single United Nations Resolution that bushbots point to as having been violated since Desert Storm ever having authorized ChuckleNutz to invade.

15. Bolton's opinion is informed, no doubt
Bolton's opinion is informed, no doubt, by his extensive career in international law, right? What? He's not? Oh. Well, that's very different, no doubt about it. So, where, exactly, is Mr. Bolton's credibility on this matter? Unconfirmed seat warmer for the UN Ambassador position? Hmmm. How strange that anyone would give him a platform from which to bloviate his nonsense, since he has all the authority and credibility of the street corner vagrant muttering to himself over his bottle of Night Train.

I'm guessing that Bolton smells better, but the vagrant looks nicer.
