The Dems Need To Out Rove Rove......
if we acknowledge that Rove is always one step or more ahead we need to have the Dems start thinking like Rove.

In every situation the Dems need to think - if the shoe was on the other foot - how would Rove handle this. Then they need to out Rove - Rove.

They need to start doing the things to *Co and the Repugs that Rove would do to the Dems if the shoe was on the other foot.

Case in point - Guilani says "I don't agree with me on everything".

Rove would say Guilani is 'wishy-washy' and can't make up his mind and that a person that cannot make up his mind is not a good candidate for president.

Remember Rove came up with 'flip-flop' for Kerry.

We need to start thinking and acting like Rove. I know that some of you will say that we don't want to stoop to the level of Rove and I can understand that. But if we don't begin to fight fire with fire - we'll be taken advantage of again and again.

We vote to issue subpoena's and we don't issue them.

We threaten *Co to get them to back down and withdraw Fox as Ambassador of Belgium and when we look the other way * makes a recess appointment.

They always fly it in our faces. They just push the buttons.

We need to start fighting back with the same tactics.

Subpoena Rove and Meirs. Keep pushing this appropriations bill and if he vetos it - send it back to him again and again.

Start up additional investigations. Keep them on the defensive. Don't let up. Get on the Sunday shows and keep them backpedaling.

This is the only way we're going to get at these people.

This is why the Dems won in '06 - use that political capital like *Co would use it.

1. Fighting Back With The Same Tactics - Hmmm
Edited on Fri Apr-06-07 12:06 PM by lligrd
I'd much rather we expose the tactics and do away with them. But I do think we should question the wisdom of Repugs putting up a candidate who argues with himself.

2. Rove's schtick is a complete lack of conscience or ethics.
That's how he works - when he sees an enemy, he smears, he lies, he cheats, he steals, and he uses dirty tricks. He is very good at being filthy, and normal people don't stand a chance at outdoing him - every normal non-sociopathic human being will hesitate when asked to do what Rove does.

Better to expose Rove than try to emulate him. Push for more Congressional investigations. Push for more exposure of his tactics. Make sure everyone knows when he's trying to Swiftboat someone, or steal an election. Then we can put a stop to him and make him answer for his crimes.

3. Want to Stop Rove? Take Bush Out of Office
Then Rove will have no "body" to implement his fiendish plots anymore.

4. That's disgusting -- Rove is a boldfaced liar who has no morals or scruples.
I do not want Dems spreading rumors that someone is a pedophile or has an hidden bastard child.

And so on and so on.

5. Did I Say Spread Rumors - Did I Say Lie - Did I Say Smear - Did I Say Cheat.....
Would Rove call Guliani 'wishy-washy' and pin that label on him. I think so. Is is a fair label. I think so as well.

Would Rove recommend using subpeona power to get people in the WH to testify at a Senate Committee hearing. I think so. I don't think he would recommend that they back down on something like that.

Use tactics - but be fair in their use.

Look what they did to Kerry when he was pictured hunting.

What would Rove do to a Mitt Romney if he was a Democrat - given his hunting experience (2 times) when he said he was a hunter all his life. You know that they would have all the RW talking heads and MSM toadies crucifying Romney for that if he were a Dem.

What would Rove and the Repugs do to a McCain - if a Dem pulled a stunt like McCain did in Iraq.

Look what they're doing to Pelosi. Oh - she wore a head cover. Well - didn't Laura do the same.
She talked to the President of Syria. Well - didn't two delegations of Repugs do just that too.

Why do we keep letting these criminals continue to walk all over us.

What about the 'pork' in the appropriations bill. I think it is 'good pork' - valid reasons for funding. But they made it out as 'bad pork' and no Dem is defending this. There are no 'no bridges to nowhere' in that bill.

All I'm saying is we as Dems need to do more of what they would do if the shoe were on the other foot.

We're continually being outflanked by Rove and the Repugs - case in point is the recent 'recess appointments'.

Come on. There is a way to use some of Rove's tactics - the fair ones - to get back at these criminals.
