I don't have TV, help me re: recent Kerry "scandal"
Edited on Thu Feb-12-04 02:13 PM by ALago1
Has the questionable Drudge Report story with no real sources or credibility spilled over to major TV networks yet?

If not, do you think it will regardless of the fact that it's unsubstantiated? Thanks...

6. Drudge report, some right wing sites and DU members who...
support other candidates are the only sources.

11. Nice try
but people who support other candidates are talking about this because it will grow legs, especially once it hits CableFantasyLand tonight.

One of the criticisms of Kerry is that, for all his good works, he comes with a lot of the baggage of the Washington establishment. I worked on or around Capitol Hill for around eight years, and something like this doesn't surprise me at all.

Drduge is the tool of the right. Attempting to associate the supporters of other candidates with his ilk is inappropriate.

Either your candidate has, or has not had, bimbo eruptions problems. Don't get angry at the messengers. I'm a Dean supporter, and I'm certainly not gloating because it is highly likely Kerry will be the nominee.

And if this story grows legs (as it will) we'll all be wading through this muck for the next several months.

If you don't already own hip boots, you're in the wrong place.

You're going to be whinning for the good old days when you had Dean supporters to kick around, once the GOP gets up on top of our nominee and starts pounding in ernest.

10. Of course, the Daily Kos
also calls the story bullshit. Also says that the same exact story was spread about Clinton just before the 1992 election.

is in the National Enquirer...Obviously a true story, given the reputation of that upstanding purveyor of news.

14. CNN just keeps talking about Bush being AWOL

It is only on DU that Drudge's rumors about Kerry's sex life are considered the biggest news of the day.

15. TV's Midday program reported "It's all over the Internet."
Midday is a questionable fun news program on each day about 2pm and runs an hour or two. In Detroit on channel 2 which is now FOX 2. Fox bought it out from under CBS, CBS had to move to 62 a few years ago.

They noted it as breaking news off the Internet, more to come later. I turned if off later because I had just eaten.

Then they lamented this type of thing/sex-scandal happening again and that they don't care if he had an affair.

So, the argument is not over the source, ALL RIGHT-WING I'D BET, it's over the (shhhhhhh! ALLEGED) affair is (shhhhh! ASSUMED) true because it doesn't matter.

Later, there will be """SO MANY SCANDALS...""" and the half-listening-swing-voters will assume the truth lies in the middle, never realizing the double meaning of lies they'll be using.

(I posted most of this under a WillPitt post earlier.)
