Democrats - "Mommy Party" - Republicans - "Daddy Party"
So, says Tweety talking about "actor" Fred Thompson.

The Democrats are the "Mommy Party" interested in health care and social security and other issues like that.

The Republicans are the "Daddy Party" interested in defense and protecting the homeland.
Fred Thompson strikes me as the "ultimate daddy".

The "Daddy Party".

Yeah...

If "daddy" is a guy who beats up and cheats on his wife, lies, steals, fucks up his kids with his chemical abuse, sexually abuses other children from time to time, is a financial nightmare, can't preform at his job but amazingly somehow manages to keep it, enrages some neighbors and endangers others, pays no attention to his retirement fund, gambles recklessly, cheats, is a hypocritical religious fanatic homophobe, chooses to live without viable health care, eats a high fat, nutritionally unsound, fast food diet, has no regard for the environment and ridicules those who do, turns his back on the few friends he has, associates only with those who think like he does, starts fights he can't finish, and has no guilt about the things he does, and has zero recollection or remorse what so ever of his transgressions.

"Daddy" he a REAL FUCKING WINNER!

7. Chris has using this "metaphor for a long time
now. I do not know for sure, but I believe it
is quite old.

As I remember, 'back in the day" it seems Republicans
were using this as an indirect putdown. In other
words Democrats cannot handle the big important
issues like world affairs , war etc. In other words
if they are lucky Democrats might be able to serve
in times of peace.

If you repeat an idea often and frequent enough
the people will believe it.

I am amazed how the Media bought this hook line and
sinker. Which Presidents have conducted the best
foreign affairs? For starters, FDR, Truman, Kennedy
Cartrer had good policies and some good accomplishments
The Republicans just expound on Iranian Hostage Situation.
One event does not make or break a presidents' whole record, IMO.
are Democratic Presidents.. Of course, the Republicans
cite Regan. ( I have questions, here)

Yet the media bought the Mommy Party Idea.

This is why it will take some work for our side
to win the election for president. We will need a
"Daddy to run this country so some will say.

This is one reason why the party is letting
people such as Guilliani get in and see if
his "strong" image will carry an election.
Fred Thompson the same thing.

10. Democrats - "grown-up" party -- Repugs - "spoiled, selfish brat" party
The Repugs are not capable of fulfilling a "parental" role because they don't give a shit about their "children"

14. Transactional Analysis: Democrats = Party of Grownups & The GOP is The Parent Party.
I would like to humbly suggest the term "daddy party" --- which came from Bill Clinton originally in reference to the GOP --- should really be gender-neutral and play off the transactional analysis term and be called "the parent party".

This logically follows that the Democratic Party would be the party of grown-ups/adults.

while Daddy is passed out drunk on the couch, then it's a pretty good analogy.
