Sorry Drudge, This ends your so called scoop on Kerry
The London Times suggested last weekend that Kerry may have had a relationship with a female law partner before he divorced Thorne, though Kerry was separated from his wife at that time.

"He separated from his first wife Julia Thorne in 1982, though the divorce was not finalised until 1988," the Times said.

Before his marriage to Heinz, Kerry was considered one of the most eligible bachelors in the Senate. With his divorce proceedings under way, the Boston Globe called him "The Senate's New Romeo," as the senator kept a high-profile romantic life. "

13. recent ALLEGATIONS, not recent fooling around....
I think that the allegations were recently brought forward. I don't think that this means that the naughty behavior happened recently.

18. Well
If stuff that happened in an unjust war of American aggression in Vietnam matters now, I'm sure that this will be fodder for the election. Perhaps that was what caused their divorce, his fooling around.

Finally, he found a Skull and Crossbones fortune to marry into, as per the mandate of the group, to consolodate their fortunes.

Believe me, this won't be so lightly dismissed. It serves to point out how foolish voters are for thinking they have some idea who is more electable.

Clearly we have seen that they can elevate, or tear down any candidate. You might as well take the guy who had all the positions in the first place, Howard Dean, not Kerry, who the media-influenced defectors went to, on the pretense of electability.

Several months ago - basically saying he was a player between marriages?

9. more ammunition AGAINST Kerry
So you have ANOTHER story establishing Kerry as a 'ladies man'.

That does NOT help dispel the Drudge story.

QUITE RECENTLY. So if Drudge is reporting that, he's a complete idiot.

Furthermore, sex has many forms not utilizing an erect penis.

Nothing in the Drudge report but innuendo, and no refernce to anything recent at all.

Usually when Drudget actually has any real information at all he posts it. The 23 year old law clerk that Kerry worked for also later worked for the news services that they are supposed to be frantically being scrutinized.

He also posted the supposed George Bush rape information last year. Nothing ever materialized.

The major media has not touched the story in any way shape or form.

12. Yup
The Republicans already tried repeated use of this one to try to replace Kerry in the Senate with a Republican. This story is about as old as Ronald Reagan.

16. It had damned well better be wrong.
After all the bullshit that Clinton put this party through, if Kerry is in fact hiding a recent extramarital affair, he should be fucking drummed out of the party.

I'm awaiting his response to this, but if he's had an affair while married to Heinz, he should immediately withdraw from the nomination.

This is Karl Rove's wet dream.

Wes Clark was the first person to state that an affair with an intern wouls soon cause Kerry's campaign to implode. With Kerry out of the way, there could be much greater room for Clark in the race, so there would be less reason for him to drop out of the race just a few days after making the statement, if he was certain that there was some substance to it. A lot gets on the pages of the Drudge Report about candidates that never hits the major media because it simply is never true, or Drudge has sensationalized something out of the distant past, attempts to make it appear recent, and then it dies.

In fact, it seems Drudge is basing the story entirely on Clark's comment, and has absolutely no other source for his story, ther than Clarks comments:

In an off-the-record conversation with a dozen reporters earlier this week, General Wesley Clark plainly stated: "Kerry will implode over an intern issue."

http://www.drudgereport.com/mattjk1.htm

It seems like this is the only actual source for Drudge's story. A Clark campaign comment. This may directly responsible for Clarks pulling out of the campaign.

In fact, it looks like the media has taken something out of Wes Clarks mouth, and has started running with it, as there is no other source refered to at all.

22. I truly hope you are correct.
It wouldn't be the first time Drudge has screwed up royally. I have a hard time believing that ANY candidate with this big of a skeleton in his closet would risk betraying the trust of his supporters and risk the fate of his party and his country.
