time for our own supply-side theory!
Keynesian economics is great, but it is a little too realistic and down to earth for most voters to support. In other words, Democrats can't win elections as long as their political opponents promise something for nothing.

Everytime deficits go up, Democrats get blamed for another tax increase..and when spending cuts are made we get blamed for being "weak" on defense. Whenever our country goes to war, Democrats get the blame for raising taxes to pay for it! And whenever a Democrat like Bill Clinton balances the budget, Republicans claim deficits were never a big problem anyway.

Maybe Republicans are right! Maybe deficit spending isn't a problem. We don't need to raise taxes to pay for a losing war in Iraq, to pay for universal healthcare, or to even finance bondholders. We should take a lesson from the Republicans, and give voters what they really want..more government spending with lower taxes. I doubt the true supply siders will be offended if Democrats use supply side arguments to increase support for our economic policies. who knows?..we may even win a few supply siders in 2008! we can trash tax and spend Republicans, and do this with the same energy and promises Republicans have effectively used against us!

APRIL FOOLS'...well almost! ;)
