(Maine) Caucus results remain unofficial
Technical glitches, human mistakes and surprisingly high voter turnout are complicating the state Democratic Party's efforts to come up with official results for Sunday's caucuses.

"It's a huge undertaking," Dottie Melanson, who chairs the state Democratic party, said Tuesday.

She said some towns' numbers did not add up, some may not have held caucuses and others "were managing their caucuses in their own unique ways" that had to be reconciled with party rules.

Under party rules, municipalities have until Feb. 15 to get their numbers to the party's headquarters in Augusta.

3. Fascinating -- Kucinich Supporter Must be Smokin' Mad
16% of the vote and no delegates? Congratulations and condolences!

I see Dean gained two percentage points even without Portland, which I would think would bolster his numbers a little more. But who knows -- the relative gravities of VT and MA may be unpredictable.

Who knows at this point? I can't believe the excuses. High turnout? They still held the same number of caucuses, didn't they?
