This is my favorite place but I won't be as active for awhile

I was fired from my job back on Feb 22nd. My union is fighting it by taking my case to an arbitrator. If I win, I should be back to work at my old job by fall. I'm starting a new job Wednesday for funds to get through the next few months. I won't have as much time to work on family friendly and labor issues for awhile. Just know that until the new labor forum gets started, this is my home on the DU.

Regards,

Omaha Steve

7. Here's hoping you and your union win your case. I was a union
member for 25 yrs so I'm in total solidarity with you. Fight the good fight and kick their butts; then come back and tell us all about it. :kick:

12. I've appreciated your posts on labor issues
and have tried to keep them kicked. Sometimes it seems like there isn't enough interest around here in labor. Good luck with your new job and getting your old one back!

13. Good luck seeking justice. I've always enjoyed your posts.
I have a lot of coal miners in my family tree, and know how much worse off they would have been without unions. Good to see Dems paying more attention to unions, at least at the grass roots.
