Edward's to appear on CBS 60 Minutes TONIGHT: 7:00 PM ET
Elizabeth and John Edwards to appear on 60 Minutes broadcast on Sunday night.

They'll sit down for an interview on 60 Minutes with Katie Couric.

The program is scheduled to air Sunday at 7:00 PM ET.

In some parts of the country, 60 Minutes may be delayed by the UNC basketball game.

1. I'll be tuning in.
To belly-ache just a bit, I wish Couric were not doing the interview.

But that's how the ball bounces.

Should be very good.

2. I would agree, except Couric's husband died of cancer a few yrs ago
At least she will be empathetic; imho, the challenge to her professionalism will not be whether or not her interview will have enough gravitas, but enough objectivity.

In any case, I look forward to seeing the Edwards any time they are on TV.

BTW, the interview was taped so they'll both be able to catch their Alma Mater's game tonight before the show.

Thanks for the reminder!

4. True, Couric's own personal family history gives her some empathy.
I watched and thought she did ok, although the Edwardses seemed to be having to be really patient with Couric. At least it seemed that way.

5. Couric wouldn't let up on them for a minute.
I thought she had made her point, but she wouldn't stop trying to discourage them. They are trying to go on and live their lives as fully as they can, and do not need 10,000 questions framed in the most negative way. That was too much.

6. Hi, AshevilleGuy. Yes, I had selfishly wished for another of the
interviewers from the program instead of Couric. I'm still pouting that she was chosen to repace Bob Schieffer. I always felt Schieffer was the better news person.

7. That's how I saw it, too..."she made
her point" and then she drove into the ground and then she burrowed her way into the abyss..and my last note when the interview ended was, "couric was trying to bring them down".

John and Elizabeth wouldn't co-operate though..they killed her off with kindness.

8. yes, but I thought some of JRE's facial expressions were interesting
I saw him make faces, e.g., the squinty eyed sidelong glare, that I think some people don't like about him, but I think they come out when he would really like to slap the person he's addressing upside the head. Bill Clinton has some similar expressions. In contrast Elizabeth has perfected the actor's face where you really can't tell if she is looking kindly on (Katie) or if she's thinking daggers.

9. Maybe it's me but I just loved
looking at both John and Elizabeth's "facial expressions"..couric, not so much.
