Poll question: Excitement ratings: Dean
Does Dean turn you on? Rate the feeling of excitement you get when you see him or hear him speak.

3. Other...excitement is not always a positive thing
I might say he's an agitator or instigator or sniper, and he causes a lot of negative energy and division in our party.

5. Many of his speeches
inspire strong emotions and his vision appears "too good to be true". Not everyone appreciates his blend of idealism and pragmatism. That may be the trait that gives people a feeling of anger when they hear him.

Watch what happened after he sent the message to media mogs that he didn't support their role as the imperial reality generator. Don't think he can't tick off some folks. It would have been a good option in your poll. (maybe)

7. If you're not angry. . .
. . . you're not paying attention.

Most of the people angry with Dean are misdirecting anger at themselves for allowing themselves to get conned into the present situation.

8. Most of the people angry at Dean
or just plain nasty might do a little self examining, might be surprised at what they find.

9. I'm still an enthusiastic Dean supporter

but I think the media turned on him for good after Dean made the remark about giving OBL a fair trial if or when he is caught. When the media raised a ruckus about it things went south fast for him. I believe it marked the beginning of the end for Dean's campaign.

Though a perfectly reasonable sentiment to have, I really wish he had kept that remark to himself. The public only sees in black and white on certain things. To try to convince them otherwise on such a major hot-button issue is committing political suicide.
