What will the Democrats do if Nader runs?
In 2000 the Democrats chose to ignore Nader, but then they saw that a small percentage in keys states could throw the election one way or the other. The same thing could happen this time. Admittedly, the ABB undercurrent will be pretty strong, but any vote that Nader can get is one less potential vote against Bush. I'm just curious how the Democratic Party would handle a Nader candidacy this time around.

1. This time it's different. The Dem=Repub argument is not as
sound this time around. Anyone itching to vote Nader must, by association, want Bush out of the White House. There is only one way to ensure that in 2004 is to vote Dem. It's sad but true.

2. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.
I'll give the majority of Nader voters the benefit of doubt in 2000....hopefully, they now understand that there is a difference between Democrats and Republicans. If they still want to vote for him, knowing what the stakes are, then they'll just have to live with their twisted logic.

I'm sure the Nader voters being young, no kids, with money and passports, will have other options not available to the majority of Americans.

4. I believe that saying has been re-defined.
It's changed to "Fool me once, shame on... shame on me... Fool me twice... fool me can't get fooled again".

3. I seriously doubt Nader will get much support this time
There will be some die hards and protest votes for him, but he won't get near the votes he got last time. Bet on it.

5. Same thing we always do. Bitch
:D

Seriously though, I think Nader will at least avoid the "Democrats and Republicans are the same", and that was about 99% of what pissed me off, anyway. Nader candidacies are fine, but I get annoyed when he smears good Democrats at the same time he smears whatever corporate guy we have in the hotspot.
