Interpretation of a Republican TV ad.
It is about Gov Ernie Fletcher (R-Ky). He is one of the three governors up for election this year.

Here's the ad

Interpretation:

*I got caught breaking the merit hiring laws and the Att General kept picking on me, but I didn't have to go to prison because I gave pardons and amnesty to all who might turn states evidence.

At the end he says he comes out head held high, means that he was able to pardon all and give them amnesty for past and future wrongdoings. It bought their silence. Still the Att General hounded him. To avoid being indicted he cut a deal where he confessed wrongdoing and was forced to take steps to clean up the mess he made. Head held high...... Yeah right.

Last I checked, he was considered the third worst governor in America.
