DEAN WINS ONE
LAUREN M SHANNON, TOKYO - With record turn out Democrats Abroad Japan members came together February 8th for their Caucus. Governor Dean won the resounding support of Democrats Abroad Japan members gaining 44% of the vote and sending one delegate on to the International Caucus in Scotland at the end of March where Democrat abroad members from all over the world will come together to choose their 9 delegates to the Democratic National Convention in July 2004.

The Dean group stood head and shoulders above the other groups in terms of size, organization and spirit. Also Dean members thanked all caucus goers and tried to give back something to those attending by baking cookies and bringing snacks to help bolster the participating Democrats for all of the candidates during the 4 1/2 hour caucus.

3. Why no link? With a link, people would be able to read this part:
The Edinburgh caucus will sort out nine delegates from 37 countries to send to the Democratic National Convention in Boston in July.

The straw poll results from caucuses reporting from 12 countries over the weekend showed that Kerry was the clear favorite in all but three countries. Japan went 52 votes to 43 for Dean; Sweden and Switzerland were balanced between Dean and Kerry; France, like Britain, went heavily for Kerry, 310 to Dean's 87.
