I'm NOT taking my Clark avatar off!
This is my declaration of independence from the political powers that be! General Clark is MY candidate even though I will probably be voting for Kerry in the GE. I'll certainly do so a lot more enthusiastically if Wes Clark is on the ticket, but nevertheless ABB is all. Meanwhile my avatar and loyalty to the General stay put.

2. Who says you have to?
It's a perfectly respectable avatar just as so many are in the DU selection. Wear whatever avatar pleases you. :)

7. One of our newer staffers at the Madison office
had come from the Gephardt campaign. It bothered me that she never took her Gephardt bumper sticker off of her car even though she was working for Clark. So, today, as my final farewell, while we were packing up the office, I snuck out and plastered two Clark stickers over her Gep one. I figured the least she could do was wear a Clark avatar for a while! ;)

8. Let me guess, she was transfered from the SC Clark campaign
if that is an affirmative,

I think I know who she is...did she spend a lot of time playing games on the computer while others around her worked?

10. You shouldn't have to take it off
Did someone imply that Clark supporters should remove their Clark avatars? I would certainly hope not because that would be just rude and inappropriate.

That's my line of thought too - but I added the faces of Howard Dean, John Edwards, John Kerry, and Dennis Kucinich to my sig too.

Yes, sorted by alpha.

22. Good.
I look at the field of candidates, those who have ended their campaigns for the nomination, and those who are still on the road.

Only then, do I realize just how fortunate we truly are for the leadership from which we are able to choose.

We should thank all of the candidates for their dedication to the American public, and hope that their message and supporters remain a significant influence in our party.

We all react differently to different messages and messengers. The strength of our party is how we are all looking in a common direction.

23. I will not change my avatar till the door hits me in the back.
When you love someone you don't ignor them. I will always be proud to be a Clark supporter. I'm leaving my yard sign up too. I'll never forget Wes Clark.

24. Just wait until the mods force you to take it off. Then it will happen
Under the rules, once the nominee is "selected" all debate ceases and unity must happen. All opposing and losing candidates avatars will be promptly removed.

That is all, thank you....

25. Mine stays, too....and I don't want any VP stuff, endorsement, etc.
Edited on Thu Feb-12-04 01:46 AM by Gloria
because I want Wes to keep his credibility and work in other ways, rather than attaching himself to any of the present crew. I don't want to see a slip into hypocrisy.......

Quotes

"They've spent months on the campaign trail criticizing George W. Bush and his reckless policies,
when in the 107th Congress, both men voted with the president almost 70 percent of the time.
Now, I'm no politician, but that doesn't seem to add up. I don't believe you can have it both ways.
I don't think you can stand with Bush one day and than against him once you decide to run for president."
