1. I think it's...
Edited on Wed Feb-11-04 10:43 PM by Bleachers7
Kerry. Clark talking about people wanting it to be over. Kerry and Clark have been good to eachother overall. I think Clark realizes that people want it over and will pile on to make that happen. Oh, and I think Clark is on the very short list for VP. Clark didn't seem to be against it tonight.

2. Anyone but DLC
Because his leaving the race smells bad... I don't trust those DLC'ers, or former DLC'ers.

4. Real poll question: "Who do you want to win the nomination?"
Again.

7. I want Edwards...
...but I voted Kerry.

Clark is one of the only candidates that has tried attacking Edwards, and I don't think that bodes well for a potential endorsement of JRE.

It would really make a lot more sense for Clark to endorse Kerry, because Clark believes in challenging Bush head-on about foreign policy issues, and Kerry's campaign is much more in line with that.

If he were REALLY eyeing a VP nomination though, Edwards might be the way to go because I can't think of a better VP for Edwards than Clark.

9. Rather, implied poll question: "Who do you think will win the nomination?"
instead.

;)

8. He wont endorse anybody, until a VP is picked.

I can't see him endorsing Kerry or Edwards considering their voting records for Bush legislative "efforts"

10. He said tonite in an interview
that he was thinking of endorsing someone.

IMO it would be Kerry, because Clark would not endorse someone who is not qualified to be Commander-in-Chief, & also deep knowledge on foreign policy, & national security.

13. I agree
The commander in chief thing and national security would be primary.

15. I wouldn't say Kerry is
"qualified to be Commander-in-Chief" or has a "deep knowledge on foreign policy, & national security."

Plus Wes has the opposite position on Iraq.

Not as deep as Wes himself.

11. The dialogue is probably going on as we speak...
it probably was last night. I predict that KErry has ALREADY asked Clark to be his veep, and I believe Clark will or has accepted. When asked about endorsement tonight, Clark said he might endorse someone--I think he will. when asked about VP position, he said "that's a long way off" and he wants to visit his grandson.

That's a long way off--the convention, where the announcement will be made.

Clark will be Kerry's VP--I would bet my savings on it.

there is a mandatory five (or ten?) years cool-off period for that spot.

How much money? Do you really think he has any ethics left? Just another campaign promise for Kerry.

if he doesn't take VP.

20. Dee Dee Myers said that Kerry's wife
really likes Clark. Dee Dee was on the today show last week. She was saying that Kerry's wife is going to have a lot of say in the Veep selection. Also said that the Clinton's will try to have a say in order to get their full support out on the trail.

I've also heard that Teresa likes Edwards too, but feels that he has so much charisma that he would outshine Kerry.

Who knows if this is true but that's the stuff that's floating around.

I'm no Kerry fan as everyone knows... but a Kerry/Clark ticket would be very hard for the Pukes to beat.

21. Well he knows Kerry
Well he knows Kerry better than the others, so it's probably Kerry. I think he'll wait until after Super Tuesday, when he feels he won't be harming the other remaining candidates.

25. He will support the nominee
I would be very surprised if he actually came out and formally endorsed anyone during the actual primary race.
