"Bush promises to restore party potency in two years"
I don't know if the visuals this title brings to mind are more scary or obscene. Eeek!

2. This party potency he refers to reminds me of the non-existent political
capital he had to spend after the 2004 election.

If Republicans in the Congress shared a sense of revival in 2 years John Sununu, Jr. wouldn't have publicly called for the head of Alberto Gonzales.

What's dragging the GOP down now isn't going to reverse much in 24 months.

8. His banner must have been made by the same people....
...that made up "Mission Accomplished."

Bush and his banners definitely have some reality issues.

10. "You've got to know something about your president: I am some kind of optimistic"
.....about where we're headed"

you know, I knew a guy once that was always optimistic, no matter what. Sweet guy. He worked at the pancake house as a busboy and he was always happy about it. Always smiling.
one side of his head was crumpled in from a motorcycle accident. He'd had tragic brain damage.

hmmmm.
