I watched them for about 45 minutes just after Clark gave his farewell speech on CNN. I didn't see any mention or coverage on Fox after that.

We have to carry on for Wes, madmax.
He is the best, but above all our General wants to protect this country from the rightwing * fascists. It's our duty to continue fighting.

I seriously can't. How brilliant was Wes just now? He slew EVERYONE, even getting in a dig on Rush. The voters chose poorly.

22. Can Norville's face MOVE?
It's been Kerry-ed from here to kingdom come.

Anyhow, I love how he dogged Limbaugh (without mentioning him by name) and talked about the double standard for the left and the right, how he addressed PNAC (without mentioning it by name), and especially how he refused to rule out another campaign in the future!

he looked great.

23. One of the best interviews I've seen
She was actually nice to him.

He was awesome!! Talked about Rush and all the outrageous Right Wing commentators. Said they were much more inflammatory than Michael Moore and how disturbing this trend of the past few years is.

He laid it on about the importance of speaking out, exercising free speech.

He made clear that he would continue to speak out.

I LOVE that man.

31. Thanks for details, Texas Mom. I was gonna post but got busy....
I didn't like Norville's crack about how maybe he should run for something like Sherriff next time. Not many people can do what Wes did. Zero to sixty in five months.... God Bless Oklahoma.

Edited on Wed Feb-11-04 09:48 PM by texasmom
I don't really like Deborah Norville, but she seemed to like him a lot as the interview went on. (How could she not?)

He did get the chance to point out all they accomplished beginning on Sept. 15 with nothing. All they accomplished setting up the campaign in first month and then the second. Then, to show so well and win Oklahoma. It's really unbelievably amazing.

edited for clarity

27. "Everyone in Washington KNEW what they were going to do."
Referring to the Neo-Conservatives. What a great line.

The one thing that bothers me is he pronounces it Warshington. This bother anyone else?

36. Warshington? Doesn't bother me...
Of course, that's because I always put an 'r' in wash too. Must be an AR/OK thing cause that's how my mom always pronounced it and so do I. It drives my dear daughter crazy. Oh well, time to go warsh the dishes! :7

And on the interview, I kind of thought that comment was aimed at ALL the politicians in Washington. Ouch...Clark's got the sizzle..that had to burn!

29. That was a great interview
Maybe I won't try to catch his speech from earlier. I don't know, I feel kind of uplifted now and maybe I should go with that for now. All I know is that Clark's interview reminded me that I needed to post my only famous saying from the Clark Support Threads:

"No matter what happens, we'll always have Dixville Notch"

I'm going to try to hold onto the excitement of that night. But it's oh so bittersweet.

Thanks always to Wes Clark and family and all the Wes Clark Democrats. I'm still working on my sig line. Over and out for now....
