More stupidity from my school's president of Young Democrats.

I posted a thread a few days ago about this guy's traitorous, Bush-sympathizing nuggets of wisdom. Here are some I heard today.

1. Gore is an idiot because he has no character.
2. Everyone knew Iraq had WMDs. Bush was right to invade.
3. America should attack Syria.

He's very well liked by everyone from the teachers to the administration to the students.

On top of that I'm leaving high school in a few months, so I don't really have a lot of time and I'm not a member of the club to begin with. If I were in 11th grade, I would start a club for progressives to split his little cult of DINOs; but unfortunately it's too late.

We watch a video of a sunday morning talk show every week in that class, and when Zell Miller was on it was like the man was preaching to the choir. They took every word he said like it was the gospel.

But to answer your question: This guy went to a Clark meetup although I'm not sure if that's really who he's supporting. I think he's supporting Bush now. I'll tell you when I find out.

edit: This is not to bash Clark. There are plenty of decent Clark supporters as evidenced by this board. I have no clue why he went to the meetup, if he supported Clark, or anything. He's a wannabe political junkie who really doesn't know jack shit about politics, so he might've just gone for fun.

I'm sure you aren't the only one who is disgusted with this guy. See who else is pissed off and see what you can do to get him out of there.

EDIT: Just saw that you're in high school, I figured you were in college or something, heh. I don't know what to tell you, but good luck dealing with this schmuck.

15. I don't really want to debate him because

he's always been cool with me and everytime I speak I sound really pedantic, partly because of my accent which is American-French-British (because my first language was French and I was taught English by my British father). So I've been told I act arrogant when I discuss politics. I can't help it.

I don't want to make enemies to tell you the truth.

Maybe one day I'll tell him he's wrong, but the thing is that he has the exact same agenda as the neocons.

He said Bush did a better job than Gore would have done. Someone told him"hey you're a young Dem, don't say that". He responded "I'm a common sense democrat and I know that Bush did an excellent job with the war on terror after 9/11".

Scary shit.

Don't worry, he'll vote for the Democrat in 2004 I think. Doesn't mean he deserves the title of President of Young Democrats at my highs chool.

You should have seen the class's reaction to the Zell Miller interview on This Week a few months ago. The class was ready to bow down to him as if he were some nonpartisan saint.
