Richardson drops out of Fox News debate
by kos

Fri Mar 09, 2007 at 01:45:11 PM PST

Bill Richardson just called to say that he will not be doing the Fox News debate in Nevada.

Richardson had been the sole Democrat to confirm his appearance at the debate, which is on life support at this point.

Richardson joins Edwards in ditching this farce of a debate.

6. Maybe they can get McCain to debate himself.
I know it's for Dems, but at this point I don't think anyone is dumb enough to show up.

On second thought.....

7. Rupert Wants Democrats Under His Fold
Faux News is using this as an opportunity to get a foot in the door to manipulate the Democrats just as they've manipulated their GOP kool aiders.

The media manipulates us through the use of exclusion (not publishing a story or parts). Instead of doing investigative reporting and reporting on stories that could be better used to serve the public on political and consumer issues, or government corruption and why we needlessly invade countries they fill up the airspace with nothingness, and our sheeple minds with trash. They offer us endless stories about Anna Nicole and her family or sensational crime stories.

8. Notice how his good friend Hillary stood on the sidelines to see what would happen?

9. Yes Noted
We need some Democrats that will stand up for Americans instead of sucking up to big business.

I'm not a Hillary fan so please don't crucify me. I've seen more than enough of the Bushs and Clintons in the Whitehouse. We don't need an American dynasty. If she was nominated yes I'd vote for her. Hopefully we'll see some Democrats that offer a truthful vision instead of shrewd politics.

10. Why do people say dynasty?
Edited on Fri Mar-09-07 09:05 PM by Kerry2008
Bill was elected twice, and if Hillary is President she'll be elected. Not even close to a dynasty. You have to earn the Presidency, and if she wins it....she earned it!!

Yawn :boring:

11. My defintion
When I see a family name that has become so associated with the Whitehouse that our media will fawn over family members only because of their name...that is a dynasty. Kennedy, Bush and Clinton are those that come to my mind.

George W. Bush wouldn't have been appointed deputy dog catcher in Podunk had his name been George Busch. He can't speak coherently enough to give a concise report on numbers of dogs that were licensed, let alone the State of the Union.

That's why I use the term "dynasty". It means unfair political advantage, it means unfair influence, it means they're much more important than most Americans just because of their name.

If it was up to me there wouldn't be any nepotism allowed within Congress. 300 million Americans can offer candidates that aren't related.
