1. Edwards and Kucinich are the two best options to unite the party
And both opposed the occupation like Kerry.

15. Whaaa?
That is a serious misrepresentation. I'm sure it wasn't intentional, but Edwards couldn't be more gung-ho for the war.

24. Couldn't be more gung-ho for the war...
...I think that's a bit of hyperbole. I might be able to name a few people who are more gung-ho for the war that can refute your point, but I'm sure it wasn't intentional.

But yes, Kucinich and Edwards certainly disagree strongly on the war and the occupation.

And Edwards VP pick would not be to unite with the ideological left, it would be to unite the Democratic base with the unions, the socially conservative South, and the poor working families.

2. Let's change that
This is NOT time for politics as usual, nor is it time to give up! Let's do all we can to get Kerry to pick Wes as his VP.

14. I like Gephardt, but
Edited on Wed Feb-11-04 06:53 PM by brentspeak
he's not the kind of running mate that would add electablity to the ticket. Clark or Edwards would make for a more competitive ticket.

5. I'm an Edwards guy, and no one has been annointed anything
I hope they pick Edwards if Kerry gets it, but Edwards would make just as good a VP as Edwards. Please don't insult the Edwards people.

9. I'm sure Edwards would be as good as Edwards.
Since he's compared to himself.

for the ticket.

I keep hearing that Edwards is no longer well-liked in NC. Is this true, and why, if it is?

8. It wouldn't make sense, though
given that Bob Torricelli is raising money for Kerry by enlisting help from the health insurance industry. The health insurance industry HATES Edwards. I would think that signals Kerry might instead pick Clark.
