Kerry/Bush dueling quotes from 1970

(Disassociated Press)WASHINGTON: Democratic presidential front-runner John Kerry is being criticized by Republicans today for remarks he made over 30 years ago concerning international use of American forces and covert CIA missions.

In an interview with The Harvard Crimson, the young battle weary yet idealistic Kerry remarked that he would like to see our troops dispersed through the world only at the directive of the United Nations.

He also expressed a desire to eliminate many CIA activities, lashing out at the agency for their war in Laos.

However, the Disassociated Press has uncovered an interview with George W. Bush from that same year. In it, Bush demonstrated a raw mastery of the foreign policy genius he would become!

When asked about US troops in Viet Nam, Mr. Bush inquired as to the location of said country, then said we should just take them all out for a drink or two.

"I thought the "UN" was a question you asked right before a beer run... like, 'hey, I'm goin' fer sum beer, U N?"

The White House could not be reached for comment.
