Dean fights back with the truth.
I admire Howard Dean for his bold and honest confrontation. He identifies how our Democratic Party has room to improve as they appear to of mimicked the republican party in some areas.

Yes, this is unflattering but so is constipation and a cathartic cleansing of the situation can be positively relieving....

This issue is not what we need to have going on in our Democratic Party. I believe we are better, smarter and compassionate to our country and citizens. Thats why I am dedicated to the Democratic Mission. This behavior only contaminates the pool. We should not eat our own......

<snip>

Kerry "supports the kind of corrupt fund raising, politically corrupt fund raising mechanism, that George Bush has also employed," Dean charged at a news conference the day after suffering double-barrel defeats to Kerry in Virginia and Tennessee.

<snip>

First he sided with the president on the war ... now we find he is more like President Bush than we ever imagined," Dean said. "This is exactly what we don't need in Washington. I got into this race because I wanted to stand up and give the Democratic Party some backbone and character."

He added: "If we have to become like Republicans in order to beat them, then I think the Democratic Party needs to change fundamentally, and I don't think John Kerry is capable of changing the political culture in Washington."

5. We are all going to have to vote for whoever is the nominee
Edited on Wed Feb-11-04 05:29 PM by Marianne
I admire Dean and his lovely, independant and intelligent, well grounded wife, and I love Kucinich above them all.

Kerry I am not all that enthused about simply because I , after all this time do not trust an entrenched politician--I feel weary when I contemplate Kerry as president, but, I will vote for him. Many in my small community will vote for Kerry-even some Republicans or independants who voted for Bush-ABB is what many are saying.

6. Make no mistake.....we do not have to vote for
whoever gets the nomination. I will not vote for Kerry. He is too questionable in his participation in these Primaries. I just won't do it.

9. OK, I'll bite. What did Kerry do?
Edited on Wed Feb-11-04 05:37 PM by jpgray
There are accusations of robocalling in the name of the Dean camp. This has not been proven.

One young staffer made inappropriate calls for Kerry and was summarily removed from the campaign.

A fundraiser for Kerry has funded a silly group which ran a despicable ad. What does Kerry have to do with this? Is every candidate responsible for every fundraiser's actions?

Kerry beat Dean in every state.

Both Kerry and Dean are nasty to each other.

Those are all I can think of that are relevant to Dean concerning these primaries and caucuses.

Those two people maxed out to EVERY Democratic candidate, I believe. Nice sleight-of-hand try.

if you want. I'll vote Kerry in November, even if he's not my ideal choice (Dean).

13. The truth hurts,
Sen. Kerry had better tell what he knows about this before it blows up in his face.

17. It's all going to come out if Kerry
wants it or not. We democrats can't condone this behavior as it will ultimate be our demise.

We don't have big, multi-billion dollar businesses or international oil to back us up......We just have each other.

He is politically naive and that is why he is losing.

14. I know that the truth hurts.....but it will feel much better
once the dysfunctional behavior has been stopped. We can demand that they play at least half-way clean within the party. We should not destroy our own.

16. Do any of yall see how this article discriminates against Dean
Edited on Wed Feb-11-04 05:48 PM by shance
and attempts to invalidate the charges being brought?

Wow. How much money does Kerry have?

Like the picture of Dean alone* walking at what looks like an airport, trying to paint him as the lone candidate,

and allowing the condescending digs by Kerrys spokesman,

I am beginning to see how the media has manipulated us and our view of candidates for years.

To the media, this story is more about trying to paint Howard Dean in a negative light than addressing the unethical, corrupt actions by our establishment Washington boys.

Its all about manipulating an image of the situation and painting it to deflect from the actual issue of the story.

So press = total manipulation now. Wow.

Edited on Wed Feb-11-04 05:58 PM by liberalnurse
To post the truth one needs links. We have to take the discrimination part, weed it out, and move on to the meat of the articles.

The media is troublesome indeed.

I often wonder how many journalist were crummy lawyers first? Geraldo was I know.....there must be more......
