Jan. 19, 2008 - Bill Richardson's big chance for a breakthrough...
Iowa is Jan 14...polls currently say Edwards has the advantage there though not an overwhelming one. Nevada is on Jan. 19. If Richardson concentrates his effort there, and one would think as a westerner from a nearby state he would have some natural advantages...he and the Iowa winner automatically go into New Hampshire with momentum...

From there who knows what happens!

1. I just have to say...as one who hung on every word at every Dem debate in 1992 on PBS.
I'm kind of liking this field of smart, well spoken candidates. :loveya: MKJ

9. On the ticket
I'm still hoping Gore will run. If so, Richardson would make a perfect VP candidate. He would solidify the Hispanic vote and pretty much assure that previously swing states like New Mexico and Colorado would go Democratic.

2. I think you are right. I think he has a very good chance of gaining a lot
during the debates and when people really get serious - and the Democrats in Iowa take their responsibility very seriously.

His resume is perfect.

We elect Governors to be President, plus he has national security experience.

I'll be shocked if he isn't truly in the hunt in January.

3. Just saw Richardson on Iowa Press
He is here for the weekend. Damn he is good. As is Obama and Edwards and Dodd. We got some damn f=good candidates this round. Let us hope they don't attempt to tear each other apart and aid those morally bankrupt corporatist candidates.

4. I think any speculation at this point is complete...speculation.

Doesn't generally work well when picking stocks, either. It's almost a year until Iowa, and by that time the race will have likely completey transformed there and elsewhere.

Edit: I do like Richardson.

8. Richardson can be bold ..
and remain approachable and genial while making his point.
It wouldn't be a surprise to see him knocking on Obama's door soon.

10. Could we possibly see a Richardson/Sebelius ticket in '08???
Could it be? Could it be?

Is it possible that the ticket will actually be composed of candidates lacking the surnames of Clinton, Obama, or Edwards?

11. No!
How will he raise the money. While his resume as governor and ambassador is strong, he'll be blown away by the top 3.

12. By focusing on the earliest states....
...and banking on that momentum to carry him to Feb. 5th.
