Need some help for other DU ers

I keep getting this message about active X controls am I being spied on or tracked?

1. Where and when are you getting this message

and I think Active X is something that is just a windows function that can be used or not by choice. I think it has something to do with your Interent security settings.

2. I got it also

Crooks and Liars has an email short they send to subscribers. Everytime I got the email active x window popped up. I got so tired of it I unsubscribed to the email. The other poster is correct it has something to do with the program from the sender.
