Clark: We have 18 months or less to Iran war unless policy changes.
"I think that's the issue that's at stake here. If we don't pressure this administration into taking the appropriate steps now, we're going to be confronted 18 months from now or less with the administration coming back and saying, 'Well, you know, the diplomacy failed, and now there's no choice but to attack Iran...

...we need to bring Iran in from the cold. We need to integrate them into a security dialog in the region and persuade them that they don't need nuclear weapons...

...these people that are pushing for it, for them they don't see war as war. They see it as an intellectual problem. It's like the solution to an algebraic equation: pressure + resistance = the need to apply force. It's ninth grade algebra, but when you are actually there and you see it and you realize how permanent and damaging war is, you do everything possible to avoid it."

18 months would be around labor day, 2008.

1. Scary, scary notion.
I urge everyone to go to StopIranWar.com and join Wes Clark in stopping President Bush from even THINKING about rushing to war with Iran. War is NOT the answer!!

5. StopIranWar.com
Hi all. First time I've ever posted here. Mostly on CCN these
days. I am a long time Clark supporter and I couldn't agree
more with what Wes Clark has been up to lately. He deeply
cares for our troops. And for our Country. We must all help
Wes out by signing this petition. And help spread the word to
friends and family.

2. That right before General Election day......
Kind of the same timing as Iraq war timing...with the forced vote.

By then the nominee would be known....on each side.

Maybe that's why the Repugs like Guiliani....He wouldn't have to vote for anything since he's not in congress, and could be perceived as strong on National Security (although he ain't hardly).

On our side, only Richardson who is running would be able to not have to vote and also have the experience in foreign policy/Diplomacy...although not so much in National Security (but more than Giuliani).

4. Tonight they announced today's death toll in Iraq
and tonight it caused me to have a meltdown. You never know when one of those moments will hit. Tonight was the night.

We've been in Iraq longer than we were in WWII. What's going on?

And anyone who doubts that this fool will back us into a war in Iran, needs to read that handwriting on the wall. The policy we are currently pursuing, stay the course more, is pushing Iran, the region, and us, into a no-win corner.

I've written, and I will urge others to do the same. And yes they will listen to us....it's just going to take all of us. Please contact your critters.
