Protests in Basra, Iraq after arrest of "powerful Iraqi Shiite politician's son,"

The U.S. military defends the arrest and detention of a powerful Iraqi Shiite politician's son, a day after the U.S. ambassador to Iraq apologized for it.

The incident has already sparked demonstrations in the southern city of Basra, pictured above, and a SCIRI-affiliated TV station said more protesters might take to the streets on Saturday to denounce the act.
