Poll: Do you Support Limiting the Mission?
Edited on Thu Feb-22-07 09:11 PM by melissinha
Determined to challenge President Bush, Senate Democrats are drafting legislation to limit the mission of U.S. troops in Iraq, effectively revoking the broad authority Congress granted in 2002, officials said Thursday.

Halfway down the artcicle:

13. It's a heck of a push poll, ain't it?
I'm not even sure what they mean by "limit the mission." That implies there was one to start with.

And the vietnam thing ... like the lesson we learned from vietnam was "stay the course even if the course is both incredibly racist and hopeless."

12. Futile cosmetics
Even with such legislation, the U.S. will continue to be in Iraq. This is merely a cosmetic bandaid.

14. Wow, what a biased "news" report
"Senators’ move directly challenges authority granted to President Bush"

What a title for a news report.

As if this imaginary "authority" has never been questioned, ever.

"it would deny reinforcements to troops already in the war zone."

What, no rebuttal? This is the biggest lie about the "surge", and it's being repeated. No existing forces would suffer any cutbacks. And they know it.

Do you guys live with this propaganda every day?

15. 59 to 41, we are on the rise!!
Are they implying that Congressional interference caused the debacle in Vietnam????? Its countries like the US and Iran who can't muzzle their idiot leaders and hold them to account that get into wars like that.
