Snow: President Bush ‘Certainly’ Was ‘Aware Of The Conditions In The Wards’ At Walter Reed
If he was aware of the conditions, why the hell didn't he do something about them? The height of incompetence, or he just didn't give a shit?

Snow: President Bush ‘Certainly’ Was ‘Aware Of The Conditions In The Wards’ At Walter Reed »

In today’s press briefing, a reporter asked White House Press Secretary Tony Snow about the Washington Post’s two-part series over the weekend, highlighting the Walter Reed hospital’s dilapidated conditions. Snow stated that “the president certainly has been aware of the conditions in the wards where he has visited, and visited regularly.” Snow also affirmed that the administration was aware of Walter Reed’s conditions “before the articles appeared in the paper.” Watch it:

The Army began repairs on the facilities yesterday, only after the media reports and intense public criticism. Apparently, Bush is fine with U.S. troops living in squalid conditions — as long as no one else knows about it.

2. There's an asterisk in the transcript, and at the bottom it says
"President Bush in fact did not know about the conditions at Walter Reed until reading the articles in the Washington Post." This is hilarious and pathetic for many reasons, among them the assertion that shrub reads the paper on his own.

4. He's always aware of things but does he DO anything
Edited on Tue Feb-20-07 05:20 PM by MissWaverly
He was aware that Katrina was going to strike the Gulf Coast with catastrophic effect and
he moseyed off on vacation, about the only thing he has done about New Orleans is to refuse
Spike Lee footage of his air guitar stunt for When the Levees Broke.

8. Follow up
It's too bad the MSM won't follow up this brazen confession of criminal negligence. We need to email CNN, MSNBC, write LTTE about Bush knowing and not doing anything. If this had been any Dem president, the party would NEVER live this down. This could be the one example where we can forever tie the Rethuglicans to being anti-military and ant-troops. Tie this together with Murtha's bill and we can paint the Rethugs with the truth that the will not escape for 40 years!
