Hartman is doing Dickens on AAR!
Imitating Scrooge the conservative and Bob Cratchit the laborer.

Very cute!!!

1. He does that voice often but...
he was pointing out that Scrooge was middle class, not upper class.

2. I knew of him before, but have only just now been able to listen
regularly. Sometimes doing that sort of thing doesn't work for others, but I thought his take on it was totally charming.

3. I podcast Thom Hartmann daily...

...and absolutely love his show. I couldn't get him on my radio here in SC (shocker) but it's totally worth the AAR subscription to hear him regularly.

4. I think he is the absolute best in a very strong field.
Sam Seder, Rachel Maddow, the Young Turks, Robert Kennedy Jr., Mark Maron (sp?), Randi Rhodes . . . .

And I'm not easily impressed (my husband is a Yalie Libertarian attorney who tears EVERYTHING apart).

5. Dickens is a good re-read for these times ....even watching the movies of his books.

We live in a Dickensian time for sure. BBC did some good movies of his books (I think they are available on Netflix) and I watched them over the holidays. I felt a sense of the times we live with under Bush...not as bad as Dickens time ...yet...but we are heading down that road.
