Kerry Campaign Looking for help in WI
I am not posting this for people to slam us or anything like that and I know we're the front runners and have a number of volunteers already...

I am reaching out to the DU crowd, to Kerry supporters that aren't already volunteering with the campaign, to people who are displaced because their candidate dropped out, to anyone else that is just interested, to be a part of the Wisconsin campaign.

Again we have a lot of support here, but honestly with myself and a few others that have been around since the beginning of the campaign we're looking at the Kerry camp here as family and I would welcome any of you into my family.

If you're interested in volunteering anywhere in the state of WI this week contact Wisconsin Field Director Faith Dickerhoof at faithd@johnkerry.com.

I myself am a Fox Valley Coordinator, so if you happen to live in Fond Du Lac, Oshkosh, Neenah, Menasha, Appleton, Green Bay or any of the surrounding towns, e-mail me and I will get back to you personally.

Whether you were for someone else in the beginning, with Kerry all the way, or for someone else now it all comes down to beating Bush this November and we all have to unite at that time to do it.

I consider this a first attempt at touching base with some of you Wisconsin DUers and maybe we can start to build a strong base here in Wisconsin.

I encourage those of you not in Wisconsin to start doing the same in other states, especially those which went Red in 2000. It's time to take our country back and if there's anything to be learned from Dean and Clark, it's that we can do it if we grassroots Together as one party. Bush's people won't know what hit them.

Sincerely,
Robert Poole, Jr.

1. You need help?
Boston Globe today:

The folks I talk to say that no matter what, they want a Democrat who can beat George Bush. The electability issue is key for them, and my sense is that the further we get into this campaign, the more and more people are going to feel that Kerry is that candidate," said Don Kettl, a political science professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. "The Dean people had been strong here early on . . . but the Dean collapse in Iowa also led to serious problems here in Wisconsin."

Kettl's analysis is borne out by the latest poll for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Published yesterday, it indicated that the Massachusetts senator has the support of 45 percent of likely Democratic voters, followed by Clark, a former Army general from Arkansas, at 13 percent, and Dean, a former governor of Vermont, at 12 percent. Edwards, a senator from North Carolina, was at 9 percent, while 17 percent were undecided.

The poll suggested that two-thirds of Kerry's supporters made their choice in the three weeks since he won the Iowa caucuses. Dean's placing third behind Edwards was a surprise.

3. Every vote counts, every volunteer helps....
Will,

It's not even just about the primary, it's about volunteering at as many events as we can get out to and set the tone for people that may not know much about Kerry now. I'm not declaring this race over yet but when we work to attend everything and have a presence at everything happening in this state, we set the bar for November where people are familiar with your candidate and we can work hard from now until then to grab every vote, Democratic or otherwise.

Bush has $140 million so far to spend and I think almost all of it will be put forth in an ad crush against us should we do well in WI and Super Tuesday (which I think we will). Every event where we have a strong presence helps deflate the effect of that.

Yes we need help. We need every Democrat and every anti-Bush voter to come out and make a presence. Let's not let this thing even get close enough to discuss BBV.

Let's blow Bush away in November.

Fighting for every vote does this. :)
