Poll question: Clark supporters only please: Should we ask Wes to stay in?
I honestly don't know and am looking for guidance.

1. This country doesn't deserve him...the voters are using CNN, FAUX & MSRNC
as their main source for voter education.

We don't deserve him.

2. It's up to him
When we drafted him, we asked him whether or not he wanted to run and he said yes, so I feel it's his right to decide. I wish he'd stay him, but I don't think he'd have a chance now, with Kerry and Edwards swallowing up the veteran and Southern niche of this race.

3. voted no
The process has spoken and the nomination is all but secured for John Kerry. Let Wes be Wes. He's a fine man who ran an admirable, underdog race. Don't push him into some quixotic quest that just subjects him to more media abuse. This way, he goes out with honor and retains a high profile in the party.

4. Other
I called and expressed my support early this morning. I made it clear I would like him to stay in, but that he should know we support him in whatever he decides is best.

5. I voted No, but I'm not really sure
Why didn't he just pull out officially last night. Seems to me he was leaving open the possibility. But, I don't think it was ever dependent on us, but rather on other logistics going forward (money).

6. No.
It takes class to step down and I think he looks even better now because he knows when it's time to throw in the towel. It still breaks my heart that he will no longer be in the race, but I think it's good to be honest about his chances.

7. How can we ask him to go back on his own decision
when the quality many of us admired most was his decisiveness?

He took his shot and came up short, whether those failings were his own or ours doesn't really matter.

Personally, I'm hoping he comes back home and runs for Gov in 2006.

He's too good for politics. Let him go have a great life.

14. No. He did his best. Voters aren't buying it.
I thank him from the bottom of my heart. It's time for plan b. Whatever he decides plan B is.

15. I agree with the "no" voters
I cried my heart out last night, and for many reasons. One of them is that for whatever reason, it wasn't Wes' time. I understand why he had to make this decision, and I wish him well in his future endevours. I pray that in going out with class and style, he is setting the stage for future political endevours.

I respect and understand his decision, and I don't want to see him urged to push forward, when it's apparent that this party doesn't value the greatness we Clark supporters see in him.

16. Have to vote No, he should not be put through anymore of this garbage,
although I will always feel he is just what this country needed at this time.

18. I would like him to stay in but..
I think he has already made up his mind.

His presence in the race has been very positive and has allowed big issues like AWOL to get more attention.

I don't know when we've had such a talented and qualified group of candidates -- it really makes it tough. I hate to let him go until the bitter end because I think he has some very important things to say. Also I wanted a southern candidate which is perhaps not as important as I had originally believed.

20. No.
We drafted him and he answered the call for duty. He served this country again and took more bullets. As a supporter I almost think it is borderline selfish of me to ask him again.

I am not sure if I even want him doing anything else besides being a grandfather and swimming in his back yard pool every morning. The country and the party let him down. He did his duty.

21. I'd still vote for him, but realistically, he hasn't a chance, and no $$
Let him go and make the best of the situation. He can and will use his experience to open other avenues.

I still love 'im, of course, and if I were a resident of Arkansas, I'd vote for him for anything. Yay, Wes!
