Poll question: A poll for Clark supporters who have not yet voted...
in a primary or caucus.

Now that the General is out, to whom will you throw your support? (If you are not a Clark supporter, or if your state has already voted, please don't vote in this poll. Reply all you want, though.)

1. Kerry was my first choice....
Then Kerry seemed to falter. When the General announced, I threw my support to him.

I still like Kerry. ABB.

2. Haven't decided yet.
It took me a long time to commit to Clark and now I'm just not ready to commit to another candidate.

4. Same here
I'm in Wisconsin, so I was really disappointed. I'm not a huge Kerry fan so I know I won't throw my support behind him right away (he'll get 100% from me if he wins the nomination though). I've got it down to Dean and Edwards. We'll see

3. Who ever is left in by the time of my state's primary, except
Kerry or Edwards, as a protest. Then I will change my affiliation to independent.

22. I'm going back to Indy after my primary
Fuck it. The Democratic party doesn't own me, I'm sick of being taken for granted. I'll take my one chance to vote for the only candidate I've ever REALLY BELIEVED IN, then I'm back in the free thinking column.

6. Clark in the primary
Unless the race tightens and my primary vote means something, I'm paying up for Wes. I will be supporting another candidate once I feel a bit steadier and will vote for the nominee in November without question. But my primary vote, as long as it doesn't become a close race, belongs to Wes Clark.

9. Here, here...
Clark in the primary, even though I don't vote until 2007, I think. Glad to see my Republican state now sees it fitting to move the primary up next time, when there will be Repub primary, regardless...

Democratic candidate in General election, but I probably shouldn't eat before I cast my vote...

18. Thank you, Jersey
I had to let the emotions settle a bit before checking in -- I have no strong objections against any of the Democratic contenders but I truly felt that Wes Clark offered something vital and special to the race.

13. My primary is next week (Wisconsin)
I said last night I would not vote since Clark is out of the race.

But I will most likely go. And I will vote for Clark.

Why?

For one, the Democratic Party looks stronger when more people vote.

But I will not go just to stick another feather in Kerry's hat. I have nothing against him, but I don't like voting in elections where there's only one real choice. That's why I am voting for Clark. I've been supporting him since last summer, and at this time I cannot throw my support behind another candidate. I may in the future, and I will definitely support the nominee. But I plan on making my small voice heard and voting for the person I feel is the best candidate, whether he is in the race or not.

I don't see it as a protest vote, but rather a statement.

14. What, you mean my vote counts or something?
Please.

Unless this race tightens up, it doesn't even matter.

Clark gets my vote on Mar 2. In the GE, I vote Dem.

23. Wow, for the first time in ages, I'm actually undecided.
Our primary is in May, so I'll likely still vote for Wesley, assuming, of course, that the nomination is locked up by then. As someone else said, he earned my vote and I'm going to give it to him.

I just realized this morning that I didn't have a second choice determined. I never thought I'd need one.

26. I'm deciding between voting for Clark or
Kucinich. Both would be a protest vote because I want some percent of support to show up. I vote absentee, so I'm going to wait a week or two to decide.

41. Kerry was my distant second choice but
I'm considering saying a giant f-you to the media and just voting for Kucinich in the primaries. I live in Ohio, so there's a chance he might make a strong showing here. If Kerry is going to win Ohio anyway, I might as well.
