Thank you to Clark and his Supporters

General Clark is clearly a great man, who, I'm sure many of us would agree, easily would have kicked Bush's ass in the GE. He was a fresh face, an outsider candidate.

I fervently hope that Clark doesn't hang up his spurs. If he retires from politics, the Democratic Party will have let slip a potentially great candidate.

In any case, I just wanted to say thank you to Wes Clark for participating, and to his supporters for working so hard for him.

Each of these good people has brought, and will continue to bring, a perspective to the process of synthesis that will become the GE campaign of 2004. They, each in their own way, laid the issues on the table, and for that, they are each deserving of our greatest respect and admiration.
