"Christians" who hate gays and hate immigrants have given groups such as the KKK and the Aryan Nation impetus to grow and become more active in the past year; and have given birth to new groups.

"Neo-nazi" and "racist skinhead subcultures" and the "collusion and cross fertilization" of klan chapters and other major American racist groups. Please tell me, who hates America?

Sounds just like the rhetoric after the turn of the last century (coinciding with the rise of the KKK) ... at that time it was those "ape like" Irish and the Italians that were taking the jobs of the good Americans.

2. How many young republicans

have been unable to clean a motel room or been rejected from picking lettuce because of illegal aliens? Or for that matter, joining the Army because of an influx of Mexican recruits?

Poor "christians" got tired of hating blacks but now their hate has been invigorated.

6. I think illegal immigration poses some very serious problems ...

Many of them having to do with human rights violations of the workers themselves. The affluent elite are able to exploit these people at a cost to all of us.

There are parallels to other shameful aspects of our national history; one of them being the rise of hate groups associated with the vilification of certain ethnic groups immigrating to our country (believe me I am well aware of even more shameful historical acts in the US ... but the commonality is the same ... dehumanize the targeted group)

I would like to see aggressive investigation and prosecution of businesses and individuals that hire these people.

I don't completely deny the problems ... I am opposed to vilifying the illegal workers vs. those that exploit them
