I Think The General Said It Best....
We may have the lost the battle today, but, I'll tell you now, we are not going to lose the war for America's future.

Our goal remains the same: to change the direction of our country and bring a higher standard of leadership to the White House.

And there is no party more committed to that effort, no party more committed to the American people, than our party ... my party ... the Democratic Party.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Here's hoping for a Kerry/Clark ticket and 16 years of Democratic dominance in the Whitehouse.
1. Clark is a Class Act
Edited on Wed Feb-11-04 01:53 AM by Jack_Dawson
He ran cause we told him we wanted him to. He pulled out when not enough voters echoed that sentiment. He only wants to do what's best for his country. I pray to God we haven't seen the last of him. He is so The Man I can't even handle it.
3. Well, Thanks for the votes folks, hope you like Bush for 4 more years
Edited on Wed Feb-11-04 01:54 AM by sleipnir
Because that's what a Kerry candidacy will produce. It'll be a nice walk-over win for Bush, without having to use his trump card of BBV!!! Thanks Mr. Kerry! and all the good voters out there who decided to select a candidate based on "electablility" Thanks again all of you *self-censored*....
4. How do you know why they voted for Kerry?
What makes you so sure that many of those voters did not have other reasons for selecting him? Did it ever occur to you that some of them looked at his record, and liked what they saw?
What makes you the only informed voter in the country?
Sour grapes, anyone? Not for me. The taste of victory will be sweet.
5. It doesn't matter why they voted for Kerry...they did and its almost over
Its now Kerry or Bush....Not my choice, I don't like it, but I'm sure as hell not gonna whine, pout, and extort. I want Barbara Bush's "oldest abortion" out of the White House NOW-I don't care who puts him out-just go go go!
6. Your reasoning is all but silly
I have a friend with cable that reads the paper everyday. He has no idea what BBV was or what depleted uranium is. People do not know a darn thing about Kerry's record. They want to vote for Kerry as a lesser of two evils. The average person would not know one-tenth of the political situation that someone that has been on DU for a year would know.
8. All the exit polls confirm that...
In every state which has held its primary or caucus, the exit polls have confirmed that his support is shallow, based on perceived electability rather than the issues.
I suppose you can argue the exit polls are inaccurate or too simplistic, but you cannot truthfully suggest that there is no evidence of the "electability" balloon.
7. I loved the positivity in the last line of your post, ColdnGrey
"Here's hoping for a Kerry/Clark ticket and 16 years of Democratic dominance in the Whitehouse". If that happened, we might be able to honestly call ourselves the most free nation in the world again.
Kerry might not be my favorite, but compared to Bush he looks like the original JFK. Here's to making the dream a reality: like father, like son, one term only!
