(02-10) 16:44 PST WASHINGTON (AP) --

A group that ran an ad using a picture of Osama bin Laden to portray Howard Dean as unqualified to fight terror was financed by donors who included labor unions, former Democratic Sen. Bob Torricelli and at least two of Dean's own donors.

Americans for Jobs, Healthcare and Progressive Values ran at least three ads in December against then-Democratic presidential front-runner Dean in early-voting states, a finance report the group provided Tuesday to The Associated Press showed.

The group spent $15,000 on an ad aired in South Carolina and New Hampshire that showed a picture of bin Laden and said Dean lacked the experience needed to take on terrorists.

4. The Dean donors were
Slim-Fast food tycoon S.Daniel Abraham of Florida and California attorney Ken Ziffren.

The article also mentions that nearly all the groups donors were Gephardt backers.

Torricelli is certainly someone I could live without, but when you raise money to run for President some of it will be snake money. Even Dean I'm sure had donations from people he'd rather not be in the same room with.

9. You miss the point
This isn't just about what shadowy figures are on any particular candidates' contributor list, it's about learning who was behind the cowardly and despicable TV ad that compared Howard Dean with Osama Bin Laden.

...is a Cuban mafia tool and (not coincidentally) is about as crooked as a barrel of snakes. We're very well rid of the little creep.

14. Torch playing fast and loose with the law AGAIN?
"Federal Election Commission spokesman Bob Biersack said it was 'fuzzy' whether Torricelli's contribution was permissible under FEC rules. Donations to such groups are not included on an FEC list of permitted uses for campaign funds."

Dumbass will never learn.

16. This has FINALLY come to the attention of the media.
It comes as no surprise that the Osama ad was created with Kerry money, but I wish the media had paid attention to this sooner.

(Yes, I know that people had to wait for February before the donors were revealed, but still.)
