6. ABK translation: Sabotage Kerry so that "our boy" gets a do-over in 2008.

14. WTF? Don't you get it? We HATE Kerry.
Edited on Tue Feb-10-04 11:44 PM by BullGooseLoony
This the guy that ROLLED OVER FOR TWO YEARS while we were BEGGING for leadership! So now he comes back (hardly) and thinks that we should support him in his run for president, when he wasn't there for us? HELL NO. This guy doesn't DESERVE to be president. I HATE him.

On edit: You've just forgotten. It's sad.

deserve another 4 years of Bush?" Then act accordingly.

17. DEAN is the best candidate.
So nominate him. Kerry's going to get rolled again. He's WEAK.

19. Dean/Clark/Kuchinich, may be the best candidate. It won't be the 1st time
Edited on Wed Feb-11-04 12:03 AM by oasis
the best candidate doesn't acheive the White House. Most recent example, Bush/Gore.

5. They are going to take down Kerry. That is why they were
desperate to get Clark out of the race.

18. Exactly so they can start the
"watch out for an Edwards surge" meme all day long right before the day of the primary. Lets face it. They want the AWOL story to go away. An Edwards surge would make it moot!

11. We need to pull another *surprise*
out of our hats. The media was so convinced that Dean would get the nom., now they're convinced that Kerry will get the nomination. Right now they're waiting until its confirmed to begin their atack campaign. If we pull another surprise and let Edwards win a few states, the media will be so confused they may just shutup for a change.

16. It's OK for media to start talking anti-Kerry now
I thought it peculiar that CNN just now commented on an "anti-Kerry movement" in the Dem party -- once the best anti-Kerry candidate (and arguably the best anti-Bush candidate) had announced he would be dropping out. Just like CNN never talked about the primary process really being about delegates, and not "wins", until Clark won Oklahoma.

Previously, my fear was that we'd nominate Kerry. My new fear is that something happens to Kerry and/or his campaign and that we end up with an even less-competitive candidate. I'll continue to hold out hope that the Party has an epiphany some time before July 26th, and makes the necessary phone call to Little Rock.

20. Fuck the media!
They can't do anything worse to us than they already have.

They destroyed two very fine campaigns and now they will start on Kerry.

Why do we even hope that things can change? They never do.

23. You've got it.
The intensive scrutiny of Kerry is only just starting. By clearing the field early, it will only server to ratchet up the media focus on him, looking for any negative to blow out of proportion (a la the "I have a scream" speech) and take down Kerry.

Plus, the GOP war chest of $100,000,000.00 will start a national campaign early, prior even to the convention, to turn Kerry into damaged goods when he comes out of Boston.

No, I'm sorry but this condensed primary process is a strategic mistake. As long as the process continues and the attacks on the Pres. continue because of the primary debates, the GOP still has a moving target to hit. The focus then stays on the President's failures and not on a witch-hunt to smack-down the Democratic "presumptive nominee".

22. Well at least...
they haven't taken up the botox. Does anyone really believe he didn't know what it was when his wife was raving in interviews about it and his face got so silky and smooth overnight? I bet the freepers are tracking him waiting for his next injection before the convention.

25. More of the repuke media
trying to fuck with Democrats minds. The corporate media makes me sick. If Bush wins in November I am cutting off my cable and instituting an absolute boycott of all corporate media.

I can't even stand to watch television now, and I used to be a TV addict. Oh well, I guess that's one positive thing that the Bush regime has done for me. :grr:
